Rosalia

In the rose garden of your backyard

The Tarantella weaves its yarn of a mother's love

I watched the leaves fall all around

The scent of your cooking filled the room

Mixed with Grandpa's pipe and your perfume

It was a happy time

As you watched us all gather around

And as you go St. Christopher is holding you in hand

Rosalia, I think you understand

The devil walked three times through your front door

Though the crucifix you hung above you never questioned for

It was another time

But don't expect me to understand

How your faith has been a river you feared to cross

Though your life has been an ocean filled with loss

But there were happy times

And they fill the heart of this man

And as you go St. Christopher is holding you in hand

Rosalia, I think you understand

And though you go your child's son says

Your memory will last

But Rosalia, your time has come to pass
