The Girl from Honey Harbour

The Southampton winds are strong tonight

The ocean is dark but the stars are bright

And they'll guide us through to the new day

I know of a place where the tall grass grows

Where the moon lights a passage, where the Georgian wind blows

And leads us through to the new day

Sweep out the dancehall take the silver from the case

Bring out the china, and set a place

Light up the torches and the old harbour lights

The girl from honey harbour is

Sailing home tonight

The old Governor's Road is a restless child

She runs from the valley unto the wild

As she leads us through to the new day

And I can hear the sound of a Salvation Army Band

And I see her through the thicket holding daisies in hand

She'll lead us through to the new day
