Upon My Father's Grave

Father please forgive them for they know not what they've done

I've tried but the words like a still born child

lay breached upon my tongue

I've climbed the walls of Jericho, I've drank from the Holy Grail

I've been stoned and crucified, upon this cross I am nailed

As I stand before the altar, upon my Father's grave

I weep like a child in his arms and I am finally saved

And I am finally saved

I have held the hand of the devil, I have shared her bed

Was lured down to the crossroads where I was tricked and wed

I've crossed the river Jordan; I've searched the deserts wide

For all the gold in Christendom, tell me how could you have lied?

As I stand before the altar, upon my Father's grave

I weep like a child in his arms and I am finally saved

And I am finally saved

Do you pray each night for forgiveness, for everything you've done?

Will you stand before St. Peter or will you turn and run?

When you look back through the mirror, when you look back unto these days,

you may seek redemption; regret the choice you made

As you stand before the altar, upon your Father's grave

Do you weep like a child in his arms and pray to be saved

for I am finally saved

And I am finally saved
